Resumo

With an essay-like character, this text focuses on Husserlian Phenomenology and exposes some of its possible contributions to Mathematics Education, as an area of research and education. From the research perspective, the main contributions lie in na alert, so that the researcher does not fall into the objectification of reality, the universalization of truth and scientific naiveté. From an educational perspective, it contributes to the possibility of mathematics' subjects being conceived as something intentionally perceived, and with the sensitization to see and value students in their intentional, temporal and cultural dimensions. With Phenomenology, it is understood that teaching and research are ontological existential realities and that students and researchers are beings capable of composing knowledge, which can contribute to Mathematics Education being a research and teaching project centered on the humanization of the people who place themselves in a condition of open-mindedness to learning, teaching and understanding.
