Resumo

This paper is part of the Pedagogical Residency Program linked to the Licentiate Degree in Mathematics course at the Federal University of São João del-Rei (PRP-Mat at UFSJ), focusing on preceptors. The research aims to understand, based on their voices, the contributions of PRP-Mat at UFSJ to the education of mathematics teachers, residents and preceptors. Three mathematics teachers who served as preceptors in subprojects of the PRP-Mat at UFSJ participated in this qualitative research, which was an instrumental case study. The results indicate that the hybrid configuration makes the Pedagogical Residency Program conducive to the creation of a third space for the education of mathematics teachers, not only for initial teacher education, but also for preceptors.
