Resumo
Ethnomathematics is the science that relates how mathematics exists within culture and examines the relationship between mathematics and cultural practices. The purpose of this study was to identify traditional calculations embedded in tobacco farming activities. This research employed a descriptive design with an ethnographic approach. The research subjects were tobacco farmers in Balung District, Jember Regency. Data collection methods included interviews and documentation, aiming to identify and document ethnomathematical practices applied in tobacco farming. Data were analyzed descriptively to describe and understand the application of ethnomathematical concepts within the context of tobacco farming. The findings revealed that tobacco farming activities involve various mathematical aspects, including counting, measuring, and calculating.
