Resumo

This article aims to theoretically discuss a possible articulation between Cinema, Internet, racism and the financial market as an educational practice for the mathematics classroom. We present a possible mathematical educational experience with Digital Technologies (DT) (Cinema via streaming and the Internet as a source of journalistic information) that can assume the role of a means of revealing a political hexis that defends social justice. We do this by debating a scene from the movie "Doutor Gama" (2021) that portrays the life of Luiz Gama (a renowned abolitionist) and bringing journalistic information from before the abolition of slavery and from current situations that portray the relations between what the finance market postulates and what is behind of what is postulated, specifically, racism and social injustice. Our considerations align with a political hexis through mathematics education, that is, an anti-racist stance and in defense of social justice, developed in financial education activities through the transposition of problems.
