Resumo
This research analyzes the influence of the mathematical content “Cartesian Plan” adapted to thegame “Battleship” on the learning of students with visual impairment in the 2nd year of high school ina Brazilian Public School, verifying their school performance in teaching situations for sightedstudents. Through a qualitative approach focused on a case study, the research involved semistructured interviews with professor and students, adaptation of the mathematical content to the gameBattleship and its application to visually impaired students with evaluative assessment, following thestage of class planning given to those who can see in the classroom. The results allowed us to verifythat the learning of the content with application of the game both with visually impaired students andwith the sighted ones were satisfactory. However, it was observed that, despite this experience livedby students with visual impairment, most of them do not feel included in the school environment. Thisresearch reveals the need for teachers and students to expand inclusive activities with teachingmaterials accessible to simultaneous teaching with the sighted students and students with visualimpairments.
