Resumo
This study is part of the Teacher Education research line, of the Postgraduate Program in Science and Mathematics Teaching at the Franciscan University, and its main objective was to develop a pedagogical evaluation model of digital educational games to assist Mathematics teachers in the selection of this resource and in determining the most appropriate pedagogical moment for its use. With this objective in mind, the following theoretical contributions are used: digital educational games, the object of this study; the importance of pedagogical evaluation of digital educational games; Bloom's Taxonomy, which provided the basis for developing the pedagogical assessment instrument for digital educational games; and reflections on teacher training. The MAPJED model (Pedagogical Assessment Model for Digital Educational Games) is composed of two instruments: the PAJDE (Evaluation Program for Digital Educational Games) and the IAPJED (Pedagogical Assessment Instrument for Digital Educational Games). The approach of this research is qualitative, exploratory, and was developed through a case study. The instruments used for data collection were: questionnaires, field diary, recording of teachers' interactions and their productions posted on Google Classroom. The data were analyzed according to Bardin's Content Analysis (2011). MAPJED validation was carried out in an online Mathematics teacher training course, with synchronous (via Google Meet) and asynchronous (via Google Classroom) moments. The course was structured according to the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) and was planned with gamified activities. The results obtained showed that MAPJED assists teachers in selecting the game to be used in their class, as it enables the identification of the potential of the game to aid in student learning and the determination of the most appropriate pedagogical moment for its use. It can be concluded that this is a model for teachers that helps in the evaluation of digital educational games and, consequently, in their use in the teaching process.
